Upgrade of IT systems during 2014

The Immigration Service is in the process of a major upgrade of our computer systems in cooperation with other authorities and our IT supplier.

The upgrade will take place throughout 2014 and may result in temporary service interruptions. These interruptions could affect online services such as My Page and on-line application submission, as well as our internal case-processing systems.

During periods when the system is down, users may experience that their “My Page” information is temporarily unavailable or that applications submitted on-line are unavailable. During periods when our case-processing system is down, our supervisors will be unable to answer questions related to your individual application. If we expect our case-processing system to be unavailable for an extended period of time, and if you contact us by telephone we will inform you at the beginning of the call. Announcements will be made to inform Service Centre visitors of downtime.

System upgrades will, to the extent possible, be scheduled during periods when it has minimal impact for applicants.
